The office of the President aims to bring together the entire KAUST academic and research community in achieving the university’s mission. The office is headed by Professor Tony Chan, KAUST’s third president, who assumed the position in September 2018.

The office supports the President in areas ranging from strategy and operations to events and communications. Divisions reporting directly to the President include : Senior Vice President for Research, Innovation & Economic Development; Senior Vice President for Operations & University Relations; Vice President of Academic Affairs; Academic Deans; and the General Counsel.
